Yes, Residency Requirement
Per San Diego Unified Port District Act Section 16: The Commissioners shall be residents of the respective cities they represent at the time of their appointments, and during the term of their office.
As a member of a Board/Commission/Committee for the City of National City members are required to complete an online filing of economic interest. This filing is required by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) and is required annually. The filing reports activities for the prior 12 months, and this includes prior to appointment. The City Clerk's Office will set up the account and be the point of contact.
